Funistrada is the best kind of local favorite - wonderfully cozy, warm personal service, and a menu with both Italian-style standbys and creative specials. Menu highlights from my visits have included a beautiful veal chop with (lots of!) capers and a pasta with duck and mushrooms in cream sauce. Glorious, rich food. While some specials can be expensive, the pasta dishes often priced very reasonably. But be sure to reserve ahead - the locals adore the place, and it is usually packed every night!Kevin A.
Glorious local pasta place near Glen Arbor. My partner and I go here each time we are in town and adore the vibe and quality ingredients cooked in these beautiful dishes. A true gem of a place. Highly recommend to other foodies, but make sure to reserve a table!Ellen C.
This place is a gem! Incredible food, and they'll even work with vegetarians (since most of the menu items are pretty meaty). Great bread, great salads, and outstanding staff. It's not a cheap place to eat, but it's top quality. Totally worth it for a special night out.Mark H.
Thanks to Trattoria Funistrada for squeezing us in when a storm knocked the power out on our dinner plans for our anniversary week dinner (yes, that's a thing) while staying on Glen Lake. Literally the best chicken saltimbocca ever. The hostess and wait staff were very accommodating and the chef stopped by to check on us. Homemade desserts are a must try. I'd recommend reservations because we got there right when they opened....John W.
Sitting here reminiscing about the best food we’ve ever eaten and my family’s #1 all time experience is Trattoria Funistrada. A Michelin 4 star in our book. Strongly recommend!Sam O.CEO
